Ravenhill Removals is a small family run business that was established by me, Mark Ravenhill, back in 2008. We are proud to have built a great reputation for the services we offer over the years and get a lot of customers approaching us through word of mouth and recommendations.

One of the main factors causing customers to choose us over our competitors, is the fantastic reviews our customers have left for us, this goes a long way in people feeling they can trust us with their belongings, and it also helps our website gain higher ranking in Google and other search engines, giving us greater exposure to people searching for a professional moving company.

A lot of customers tell us that they will leave a review, but I understand this isn't the highest priority on someone's mind when they have just moved home. They have all the unpacking and sorting out to do, and by the time they have settled in, leaving us a review has well and truly been forgotten about! I do this myself all the time, if I've been to a restaurant and had a delicious meal with great service, I will tell them I'll leave some feedback once I am home, but by the time that happens it has totally slipped my mind!

Now we do have lots of review sites, our main ones being Google, Trustpilot and Facebook, but we also have them scattered about elsewhere too, such as Yell, FreeIndex and Checkatrade to name but a few.

I know people aren't going to want to spend time reviewing us on different platforms, this is far too much of a pain.

After giving it some thought, I wondered what incentive could I give our customers to not only remember to leave us some feedback, but help us gain a great reputation on our other platforms too? I know, I'll try and make them millionaires!

So, I came up with the idea of creating a lottery syndicate, where a customer receives one entry per review left. So if they decide to leave us a review on Google and Trustpilot, then they will receive 2 entries into that weeks lottery draw taking place on Saturday.

Some people may have a bit of spare time on their hands during their lunch break at work, others maybe while nursing a hangover on Sunday afternoon after a good old knees up the previous night! Whenever the moment occurs, they can write one review on Google for instance, then copy that review and paste it on our other review platforms to save on having to write the same thing over and over again.

Once the reviews have been submitted, all you have to do is email me and tell me which review sites you have provided feedback for us on, and we will add the number of entries against your account in the lottery syndicate. You don't have to do them all in one go either, you could for instance do a Google review this week for this weeks lottery draw, then a Facebook review the following week to have a go on that week's draw, a Trustpilot review the week after that, you get the idea, keep it going until you've reviewed us on all our sites so you have lots of week's to look forward to the draw.

And remember, it doesn't have to be just one person that leaves us a review, if we have moved a family, there's nothing stopping mom, dad, brother, sister etc. all logging on to leave a review too, the more reviews we get the more opportunities your house gets for a chance to win a lot of money!

The other bit I then had to think about was how do I keep this fair between customers? If 4 customers leave us a 1 review each, then that would mean a split of 25% per customer, but what if 3 customers all leave 1 review each but the other customer left us 3 reviews? It would be unfair for the customer leaving us more reviews to still only receive 25%, so what we would do here is divide the percentage of the winnings up between customers and reviews left. In this scenario, 6 reviews have been left, 3 by one customer which is 50% of the reviews left, meaning the other 3 customers take a 3 way split of the remaining 50% so 16.6% each in this case. Sorry if that last bit sempt a bit technical, but at least you understand everything will be sorted out and split fairly between winners!

Each week that the lottery syndicate takes place, a screenshot of the ticket will be posted on 3 of our social network sites, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

So, without further ado, please click on the below link to be taken to a place where you can select which platform you would like to review us on. If you only intend on leaving 1 or 2, then our main review sites are Google, Trustpilot and Facebook if you could leave them there, please.
